Strategy & Business Development Intern

Eligo is building a platform technology based on phage engineering to produce eligobiotics that can deliver therapeutic DNA and (re)program a wide range of bacteria in-situ. With such a capability, Eligo is poised to lead the new generation of precision microbiome engineering companies.

> We are looking for a talented graduate with scientific, pharmaceutical or medical background with a strong interest in business and potentially a future career path within the Pharma/Biotech industry.
You will work hand-in-hands with the CEO and our Development Team to support the operational as well as partnership/licensing/development activities related to the ramp-up of new drug targets and disease areas.

During the internship, if successful, the candidate will have the opportunity to apply for full employment.


  • Develop competitive landscapes including key risks and mitigation strategies
  • Identify and analyze various emerging biotech platforms (CRISPR, Microbiome, Phages, etc.); build risk/benefit assessments for each technology
  • Strategic automation of secondary news coverage
  • Business development projects for high profile Eligo programs


  • Scientific degree (PharmD, Medical training, M.Sc., M.Eng. or PhD)
  • Business-related degree with a distinct focus on Biotechnology/Strategy & Business Development is a plus.
    It could also be secondary qualification in business through classes, participation in extra-curricular activities,
    and/or internships experience.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to work
  • Ability to multi-task without compromising quality and accuracy
  • Strong collaborative attitude essential
