Research Assistant Animal Models

We are looking for a high-performing lab assistant to assist and work hand-in-hand with our R&D teams. We want to hire you because you are interested in providing critical support to the engineering of novel biotherapeutics. This involves the implementation, the developement, the modification or optimization of protocols or techniques in a variety of projects but more specifically with animal experiments and in-vivo models (mice).

  • Assist in the setting up of animal models (mice) to test the effectiveness of Eligobiotics in a complex environment
  • Maintenance of a proper living environment for the animals
  • Observe and record physical signs of animals’ health
  • Assist and perform various gavages, IV, SC, administrations
  • Collects blood, tissue, feces and various samples from the animals
  • Assist in the conduct of various surgical procedures following aseptic technique
  • Specialized technical procedures including: tail clipping, animal identification, and collection of routine diagnostic samples
  • Improvements of the technical supports intended for the realization of the experiments
  • Ensure the follow-up and the technical validation of the samples and their recording in the data management software
  • Ensure the management and maintenance of specific devices for animal experiments
  • Preparation and routine care of supplies and equipment, sterilization/decontamination procedures of equipment, supply inventory, and ordering as needed
  • Attend internal meeting


  • French applicants: DUT ou BTS ou Licence professionnelle minimum (Biotechnologies, Génie Biologique, Analyses biologiques et/ou biochimiques, etc.)
  • Foreign applicants: Associate’s degree with 1 year laboratory experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline preferred
  • Habilitation to manipulate animal required
  • Knowledge of the principles of microbiology, especially in Bacteriology, molecular biology (PCR, DNA extraction etc.) and chemistry (handle hazardous compounds, drug delivery (dosing) etc) in order to contribute to the design and modification of experimental procedures as well as to analyze and interpret results
  • Basic computer skills required: word processing and spreadsheets
  • Experience operating basic laboratory equipment
  • Must be capable of organizing work, multi-tasking, and performing multiple functions that may change over time
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve problems
  • Must be receptive to instruction and demonstrate aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Must work well independently and also as part of a team
